March 17, 2009. 

Beaver Lake Fire Department just received the fire truck which will be 1211 today.  It will be quartered at the Beaver Shores (station 1) Station.

You also might have noticed some work happening at the Beaver Shores Station.  We are adding on to that current station to make a training facility. 

We are at 119 runs as of this date.  It has been busy.  Last year we performed 394 runs.  BLFD is well ahead of last year.

I have had several questions about the picture on the home page.  The picture was taken at about 6:30 am on May 14th which was the first day of the FLW Wal-Mart Open Bass Tournament.  It was a cool morning at the Prairie Creek Marina and the steam was coming off of the lake where over 200 boats were getting ready to go fishing. They had just finished the National Anthem and the sun was about to come over the trees.

There will be a big push to get our www.beaverlakefiredept.com out to the public as soon as possible.

Take a look at the "Station" and "Apparatus" sections.  This is our first attempt and we think it looks great!

The "Chief's Corner" has a direct link to his e-mail at the fire station.  Any questions or comments and he will answer within a day.    He will also post a current status of fire and rescue runs on a weekly basis.
